Kendal L. Stewart, MD

Dr. Stewart is Board Certified in Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery and received fellowship training in Otology/Neurotology - Skull Base Surgery. His background includes extensive training in neurological, neurosurgical and allergy related areas. He has extensive experience with advanced Neurological and Audio-Vestibular diagnostic techniques. He has been practicing in the Austin area since 1994.

Dr. Stewart's research issues are specifically related to the objective diagnosis and treatment of nervous system dysfunction and sports related issues. Dr. Stewart has established the largest private research division in the country for patients with vestibular related problems. He has held an associate professor position at the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio. Dr. Stewart has authored many publications on vestibular and balance related issues and has been granted two medical related patents regarding diagnosis and treatment methodologies. He is extensively involved in lectures and instructional courses for physicians and other health care professionals and serves as a board member of several medical related companies. He has also served as a team physician for The University of Texas, Stanford University, and is the personal physician of many other professional and high level amateur athletes.

Dr. Stewart received his BA from the University of Texas at Austin and attended the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. After five years of residency training at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, affiliated hospitals and MD Anderson Cancer Center, he completed a fellowship in Otology/Neurotology - Skull Base Surgery at Baylor University Center in Dallas, TX.
